Senior Director of Development

Senior Director of DevelopmentEAC Network is seeking an experienced and relationship-driven Senior Director of Development to lead and grow the organization's fundraising efforts. This is a key role responsible for advancing EAC Network's mission by building strong donor relationships, increasing contributed revenue, and overseeing a comprehensive development program that includes individual, corporate, foundation, and event-based giving.The Senior Director of Development will work closely with the President & CEO and lead a small development team, including a Grant Writer, Events Consultant, and Development Coordinator. The ideal candidate is a strategic fundraiser, confident communicator, and hands-on leader who can both develop fundraising strategy and personally cultivate, solicit, and steward donors.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and implement EAC Network's annual fundraising strategy across individual, corporate, foundation, and community giving.Manage a personal portfolio of donors and prospects, including direct cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.Identify new funding opportunities and build relationships with donors, sponsors, foundations, and community partners.Set, monitor, and report on departmental revenue goals and fundraising pipeline activity.Oversee major fundraising events, including the Building Bridges Gala and Golf for Good outing.Lead event fundraising strategy, including sponsorships, table sales, donor asks, and volunteer committee engagement.Oversee donor communications, including appeals, campaigns, acknowledgment letters, annual reports, newsletters, website content, and social media recognition.Ensure accurate donor records, pledge tracking, and relationship management through DonorPerfect.Supervise grant-related activity, including prospect research, proposal development, reporting deadlines, and funder communications.Review and approve grant proposals and reports before submission.Collaborate with program staff to gather outcomes and impact data for funder reports and donor communications.Supervise, coach, and support the Development team, setting clear expectations and providing regular feedback.Manage the department budget and monitor revenue and expenses against goals.Represent EAC Network professionally with donors, prospects, partners, volunteers, and community stakeholders.Schedule and Work EnvironmentThis is a full-time, exempt position with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with evenings and weekends required for events and donor-related activities. The Senior Director of Development will help shape fundraising strategy, deepen donor engagement, and expand the organization's ability to serve individuals and families throughout the community.Qualifications7–10 years of development or fundraising experience, including direct donor solicitation and grant oversight.Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding contributed revenue goals.Prior staff supervision experience required.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Comfortable representing the organization in donor meetings, sponsorship conversations, and community settings.Experience with donor databases and fundraising tools; DonorPerfect experience strongly preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with tools such as Instrumentl and Constant Contact preferred.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and relationships.Availability for occasional evening and weekend events.Valid New York State driver's license and access to a vehicle.
