Details Work in a 42-bed Transitional Care Unit (3E/3W TCU) Patient ratios of 4:1 or 3:1 Patient population includes stroke, transplant, and Parkinson's disease cases Uses Epic EMR Uses equipment including dynamap and bladder scanner Administers medications including insulin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, heparin, and nitroglycerin, with frequent time-critical medication administration Night shift schedule from 6:45p-7:15a 3 shifts per week at 12 hours per shift, totaling 36 hours weekly Required to work every 3rd weekend RN must read telemetry and titrate medications accordingly Requirements Active RN license (KY or Compact) required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient PCU RN experience required Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required Epic EMR experience required Proficiency in neuro care required Additional Information Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating patient plans of care Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel and functions as a mentor/preceptor Facilitates patient and family education throughout care and at discharge Participates in quality, safety, and process improvement efforts Supportive team culture with flexible scheduling Local candidates accepted American Traveler Job ID P-747852.
