Engineer - Project Engineer-Design Lead

Role
Design Lead within Lilly's Global Facilities Delivery organization, responsible for overseeing the design of capital projects supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing and medical innovation.
Objectives
ensure design compliance with standards, regulatory requirements, and project goals for new and renovated assets.
Responsibilities
- manage design delivery from conceptual to basic review
- coordinate A/E firms
- develop design requirements
- monitor progress and budgets
- facilitate issue resolution
Qualifications
- BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- minimum 5 years supporting pharmaceutical or API manufacturing environments
- experience with capital project delivery, design standards, and regulatory guidance
Preferred
- pharmaceutical process or project engineering background
- strong project management
- conflict resolution
- influencing skills
High-Value
- experience in pharma manufacturing

- cross-disciplinary coordination
Work setup
Work setup involves approximately 25% domestic and international travel; potential for co-location with A/E firms or on-site support for commissioning and qualification activities.
