Job Description
Registered Nurse - Pediatric Psychiatry

Schedule

Rotating shifts of 36 or 48 hours per week, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.

Assignment Details

This role is within a child and adolescent unit focused on patients aged 5-18 years experiencing acute mental health crises.

Requirements

• NYS RN License
• 2 years of pediatric mental health experience
• BLS certification (AHA only)

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective therapeutic care to patients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and meet patient goals.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on Activities Therapy, Mindfulness, Wellness, and Coping Skills.
• Administer psychopharmacological interventions as needed.

Compliance / Notes

Candidates may be required to complete orientation, background checks, and drug screenings as part of the hiring process.
