Parking Enforcement AttendantThe Parking Enforcement Attendant is responsible for patrolling designated areas to ensure compliance with parking regulations, issuing citations, and providing a high level of customer service to the public. This is an active, outdoor role requiring extended periods of walking throughout the assigned shift in all weather conditions.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPatrol designated areas on foot to monitor compliance with parking regulations throughout the assigned shiftIssue citations or written warnings to vehicles found in violation of applicable parking rules and ordinancesReport unauthorized, abandoned, or illegally parked vehicles to appropriate authorities or supervisorsProvide courteous customer service by answering public inquiries and assisting customers with parking-related concernsMaintain accurate and thorough records of all citations issued and incidents encountered during each shiftDocument observations using handheld devices, written logs, or other designated reporting toolsCommunicate professionally with the public, clients, and internal staffPerform other related duties as assigned by the supervisorPhysical RequirementsThis position involves significant physical activity. Candidates must be able to:Walk continuously for extended periods (4–8+ hours) throughout each shiftWork outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snowStand, bend, and move for the duration of the shiftCarry and operate handheld citation equipment and communication devicesMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED)Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formBasic computer or mobile device proficiency for data entry and reportingStrong attention to detail and ability to apply regulations consistently and fairlyProfessional demeanor and ability to interact courteously with the public in challenging situationsPreferred QualificationsPrior experience in parking enforcement or a customer-facing field roleFamiliarity with parking management software or citation issuance systems
