Human Resources Representative

Job Summary:


The Human Resources Representative provides professional-level support across a range of HR functions including employee relations, policy interpretation, compliance, and data-informed decision-making. This role serves as a first-line HR resource for leaders and employees, ensuring consistent application of HR policies and practices at the departmental or operational unit level. The representative exercises independent judgment in handling confidential issues, conducting initial investigations, and advising on corrective action within established frameworks, supporting operational excellence and alignment with HR guidance and system standards.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a first-line advisor to leaders and employees on HR matters such as policy interpretation, performance concerns, and workforce planning needs.
• Conduct initial assessments of employee relations concerns and lead low-to-moderate risk investigations, escalating high-risk or precedent-setting issues to HR Business Partners.
• Provide guidance on corrective actions and documentation in alignment with established policies and best practices.
• Analyze HR data and trends to inform recommendations for operational improvements and flag strategic or system-level issues.
• Support execution of HR initiatives including performance management, onboarding, engagement, and compliance training under HR Business Partner direction.
• Assist with workforce planning discussions by providing relevant data, historical trends, and policy-based recommendations.
• Collaborate on cross-functional HR projects focusing on implementation and process adherence.
• Maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• General HR experience with a minimum of 2-4 years of progressive HR experience preferred, ideally within the healthcare industry.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, employee relations, and compliance standards.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in confidential and sensitive matters.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience within the healthcare industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools and HR information systems.
• Experience supporting workforce planning and HR initiatives.

Special Considerations:

• Role requires handling confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion.
• May involve managing investigations and providing guidance on corrective actions.
• Work performed primarily in an office environment with standard business practices.

Scheduling:

• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
• Standard 5-day workweek with 8-hour shifts.
