Human Resources Generalist/Training & Development Specialist

Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Salary: $70K 90K plus bonus

Job Summary

The HR Generalist/Training & Development Specialist position involves overseeing learning programs within the organization, collaborating with leaders for employee development, and contributing to overall business growth. Additionally, the role provides HR Generalist support across different HR areas as necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee Learning Management System administration tasks such as course management, user registration, and reporting.
• Maintain accurate training records and generate reports for evaluating learning outcomes.
• Train managers on LMS functionality and provide on-the-job training documentation.
• Facilitate various training sessions, including classroom, virtual, and train-the-trainer programs.
• Coordinate new hire onboarding training in collaboration with hiring managers.
• Manage end-to-end training logistics, including scheduling, materials, travel, and communications.
• Ensure timely distribution of training materials and updates across programs.
• Research and secure external funding for training initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with HR and department leaders to identify training needs and develop plans.
• Design and deliver learning programs in various formats using instructional design principles.
• Collaborate with SMEs to develop technical and safety training materials.
• Create training schedules and materials for all job functions.
• Encourage continuous learning and development culture in the organization.
• Assist leaders in identifying and addressing skill gaps through development plans.
• Provide coaching and guidance for employee development and engagement.
• Promote collaboration among stakeholders to achieve business goals.
• Perform HR Generalist duties across various HR functions.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Preferred Bachelor's degree in related fields such as Organizational Development or Human Resources
• Minimum 5 years of experience in training, instructional design, or learning & development field
• Experience with Learning Management System administration
• Strong background in instructional design and training facilitation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and training tools like Articulate, Camtasia
• Experience in Human Resources Generalist roles.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
