About the Role

We are looking for a MES Application Technician to support the development, deployment, and maintenance of digital manufacturing applications using the Tulip MES platform .

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with manufacturing, production support, automation, or technical experience who enjoys solving problems and improving how work gets done on the shop floor. You will work directly with operators, engineers, and IT teams to turn manufacturing processes into practical digital workflows for work instructions, quality checks, traceability, and production data collection.

Key Responsibilities MES Application Development & Support

• Build, configure, and maintain Tulip applications used by shop-floor teams.
• Configure application screens, variables, triggers, tables, and workflows.
• Test applications with operators and assist with production deployment.
• Troubleshoot basic application, connectivity, and data-related issues.
• Make application updates based on user feedback and manufacturing needs.

Manufacturing Process Support

• Work with operators and engineers to understand existing manufacturing processes.
• Translate assembly, inspection, and production activities into simple digital workflows.
• Support digital work instructions, quality checks, defect logging, traceability, and production data capture.
• Observe shop-floor operations and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Data & Systems Integration

• Assist with data exchange between Tulip and other systems such as ERP platforms, databases, and production equipment.
• Support barcode scanners, tablets, and other shop-floor technology.
• Check application outputs and validate data for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting involving connected devices and systems.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Create and maintain basic documentation for applications, configurations, and changes.
• Participate in testing, user feedback, and iterative application improvements.
• Support digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with manufacturing, engineering, and IT teams.

Required Qualifications

• 1 3 years of experience in manufacturing operations, production support, technical systems, automation, or IT support within a factory environment.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, including assembly, inspection, and production flow.
• Strong logical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable working with computers, tablets, and software applications.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with production and quality data.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both shop-floor operators and technical teams.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical certificate, Associate degree, or equivalent hands-on experience in:
  • Manufacturing or Engineering Technology
  • Industrial or Mechanical Technology
  • Mechatronics or Automation
  • Information Technology
  • Digital Manufacturing or related technical programs
• Exposure to Tulip, MES, or other low-code platforms such as PowerApps, Ignition, or Mendix.
• Basic programming or scripting experience with JavaScript, Python, SQL, VBA, C++, or JSON .
• Familiarity with REST APIs or other data-integration methods.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.

Relevant hands-on shop-floor and technical experience may be considered in place of formal technical education.
