We are looking for an Insurance Account Manager to join our team in Austin, Texas.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated PC insurance professional who wants more than a transactional customer service role. You'll take ownership of an established book of business, build meaningful client relationships, manage renewals, identify coverage opportunities, and play an important role in retaining and growing our clients and our agency.

The Opportunity

As an Insurance Account Manager, you'll manage an assigned portfolio of property casualty insurance accounts with a primary focus on:

• Client retention

• Renewal management

• Relationship development

• Cross-selling and account growth

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Client Retention Relationship Management

• Manage an assigned portfolio of Property Casualty accounts with a strong focus on client retention and long-term relationship development.

• Build trusted relationships by understanding clients' businesses, exposures, insurance needs, and objectives.

• Maintain proactive communication with clients throughout the policy year.

• Identify accounts that may be at risk and take action to address concerns and strengthen relationships.

• Conduct account reviews to identify changing exposures, coverage needs, and opportunities to provide additional value.

• Deliver responsive, knowledgeable, and solutions-oriented service.

Renewal Management

• Own the renewal process for assigned accounts from preparation through completion.

• Begin renewal activities early and review policies, exposures, claims history, premiums, coverage, and client objectives.

• Identify potential renewal challenges and develop strategies to maximize client retention.

• Obtain and evaluate renewal options and alternative coverage solutions.

• Market and remarket accounts when appropriate to obtain competitive coverage and pricing.

• Clearly communicate renewal options, coverage changes, premiums, deductibles, limits, and terms to clients.

• Follow up consistently to ensure renewals are completed accurately and on time.

• Maintain accurate renewal documentation and account activity in the agency management system.

Cross-Selling Account Growth

• Proactively identify cross-selling and account-rounding opportunities within the existing book of business.

• Conduct coverage reviews to uncover gaps, new exposures, and opportunities for additional insurance products.

• Recognize changes in clients' businesses that may create opportunities for additional coverage.

• Work with producers to develop appropriate coverage solutions.

• Identify opportunities for Commercial Property, General Liability, Business Auto, Workers' Compensation, Umbrella/Excess, Professional Liability, Cyber, EPLI, Bonds, and other applicable coverages.

• Track opportunities and follow up consistently.

• Focus on understanding client needs and providing appropriate solutions—not simply selling additional products.

Client Service

• Respond promptly and professionally to client questions and requests.

• Explain insurance coverage and policy requirements in a clear, easy-to-understand manner.

• Resolve service issues quickly and professionally.

• Ensure clients receive timely policy documents and renewal information.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• At least 1 year of Property Casualty insurance experience.

• Active Property Casualty insurance license.

• Working knowledge of PC insurance products and coverage.

• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines.

• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of assigned accounts.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Preferred Experience

The following are a plus, but not required:

• Experience managing a Commercial PC book of business.

• Experience with account rounding and cross-selling.

• Experience with Salesforce, Comparable raters, and other CRM systems.

• Experience with Commercial Property, General Liability, Business Auto, Workers' Compensation, Umbrella/Excess, Cyber, EPLI, or Professional Liability.
