Equipment Maintenance Technician

Equipment Maintenance Position

Only qualified Equipment Maintenance candidates located near the Sumter, SC area will be considered due to the position requiring an on-site presence.

Required Experience

• Minimum two years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining production equipment
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and equipment changeovers
• Experience maintaining production and downtime logs
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment
• Experience monitoring product quality and minimizing equipment downtime

Technical Skills

• Equipment setup operation optimization and changeover
• Mechanical troubleshooting and equipment repair
• Preventive maintenance practices
• Knowledge of pneumatics electrical electronic and hydraulic systems
• Machine control panel operation
• Production equipment maintenance
• Quality control inspections and documentation
• Production and downtime recordkeeping
• Safe use of hand tools and maintenance equipment

Physical Demands

• Ability to work 12 hour shifts
• Ability to work overnight schedule after training
• Ability to stand walk bend and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
• Ability to safely operate production equipment and tools

Responsibilities

• Set up operate optimize troubleshoot and maintain assigned production equipment
• Perform equipment changeovers and ensure proper machine operation
• Maintain equipment to meet production quality and efficiency standards
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine equipment repairs
• Record production downtime and maintenance activities in equipment logs
• Assist engineering manufacturing technicians and maintenance teams with major repairs
• Start equipment and verify proper machine and control panel operation
• Monitor replenish and communicate material supply needs
• Perform quality checks process challenges and required documentation
• Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment
• Follow all quality system requirements environmental procedures and safety policies
• Report equipment issues and escalate major problems to supervisors as needed
