Pay: $22-$25/hour, depending on experience

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Machine Technician to operate, set up, monitor, and support automated manufacturing equipment used to produce precision components.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys working with automated machinery, troubleshooting equipment, monitoring quality, and making process adjustments to keep production running efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience operating automated manufacturing or production equipment and be comfortable working with machine interfaces, computerized controls, precision measuring tools, and production quality standards.

This position will also play an important role in supporting a new manufacturing cell and product launch , making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys learning new equipment and helping establish efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor automated manufacturing equipment
• Operate automated laminating and die-cutting machinery
• Adjust machine parameters and process settings to maintain product quality and specifications
• Work with computerized machine interfaces and custom machine software
• Monitor automated inspection and quality systems
• Interpret inspection results and dimensional measurements to determine necessary machine or process adjustments
• Perform visual and dimensional quality inspections
• Use precision measurement tools such as calipers and other inspection equipment
• Assist with CMM and automated inspection systems when applicable
• Apply basic Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles to monitor production performance
• Identify machine or process abnormalities and perform basic troubleshooting
• Perform minor preventive maintenance and equipment adjustments
• Accurately complete production, inspection, and quality documentation
• Communicate production or equipment issues to appropriate team members
• Work closely with engineering, quality, and operations teams to improve processes and equipment performance
• Support new equipment installations, process launches, and production ramp-up activities
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-conscious work environment

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience operating automated manufacturing, production, or processing equipment
• Experience with machine setup, operation, adjustments, or changeovers
• Familiarity with computerized machine interfaces, HMIs, automated controls, or similar manufacturing systems
• Experience using precision measurement tools such as calipers
• Basic understanding of manufacturing quality requirements and dimensional inspection
• Basic knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) or process monitoring
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to perform basic machine troubleshooting and identify equipment or process issues
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts
• Ability to accurately follow work instructions, specifications, and production procedures
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move materials as required

Ideal Candidate

The strongest candidate will be more than a traditional machine operator. We are looking for someone who understands how the machine and process work together and is comfortable making adjustments, reviewing quality data, troubleshooting minor issues, and taking ownership of equipment performance.

You do not need experience with every piece of equipment listed above. Candidates with a strong background operating automated manufacturing equipment and the mechanical aptitude to learn new machinery are encouraged to apply.
