Broadcast Associate, 60 Minutes

Together, we co-create moments that matter – both for our audiences and our employees – and aim to leave a positive mark on culture. 60 Minutes is seeking a Broadcast Associate whose primary job will be to provide administrative, digital, and editorial assistance to one of the show’s Executive Editors. The ideal candidate is smart, innovative, highly organized, and able to multi-task. You possess strong communications skills, good knowledge of news and current events, and a keen attention to detail. Responsibilities:

Handling all administrative duties, including answering phones, maintaining schedules, monitoring emails, booking travel, and doing expenses

Coordinating meetings and story screenings for senior staff and producing teams

Assisting with digital needs and components for the shows programming

Maintaining the show's story pitch database and assisting the EP with story organization and show lineups

Assisting senior staff and producing teams with digital and research needs

Working with producer teams to prepare for a shoot, including assembling research binders, printing questions, and anticipating production needs

Qualifications:

Must have a background in journalism and experience in a newsroom

Experience working in digital journalism

Solid organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

Ability to handle confidential information with absolute discretion

Ability to balance priorities, multiple projects, and tasks, and act with urgency

Exemplary written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Team player with a positive outlook

Ability to work under deadline in a dynamic environment

Must be willing to work overtime and weekends, late nights with little notice

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday, with ability to work nights and weekends as needed

Onsite role located at 555 W 57th St, New York City

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
