This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of approximately 140 students each week, as you work a full-time, 40-hour schedule. You’ll contribute your expertise within a supportive educational setting, working collaboratively with staff and administration to ensure each student receives appropriate assessment and services.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician in Texas
• Proven experience conducting educational assessments and developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong understanding of federal and state regulations related to special education
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload efficiently

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students referred for special education services
• Interpret a variety of assessment data, producing clear, actionable reports
• Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs
• Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to implement appropriate interventions and supports
• Maintain meticulous documentation and meet all compliance deadlines
• Provide guidance on best practices and regulatory changes in the field
