Dental Assistant

Role: Full-performance Staff Dental Assistant responsible for supporting dental procedures at a medical center. Responsibilities Include Assisting with routine and specialized dental procedures, including oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics. Preparing operatory setups, passing instruments safely, and maintaining infection control protocols. Exposing dental images in traditional and digital formats, maintaining dental equipment, and managing dental records. Providing patient education, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with laboratory functions like impressions and model preparations. Ensuring patient safety and confidentiality, and supporting scheduling and procedural workflows. Qualifications & Skills Six months of relevant experience or completion of an accredited dental assistant program. Certification in radiologic procedures (or eligibility), with DANB certification preferred. Proficiency in dental anatomy, instruments, materials, and digital imaging. Ability to perform basic vital sign interpretation, equipment maintenance, and data entry. Physical ability for long periods of standing, bending, and lifting patients or supplies. Additional Requirements: U.S. citizenship, English proficiency, background check, and mandatory safety training. Certification in basic life support is highly desirable.
