Team Development : Lead and supervise the dietary team, including cooks, aides, and nutrition staff. Provide training, mentorship, and performance management to maintain a high standard of food preparation and service. Resident Engagement : Ensure meals meet the nutritional needs and preferences of residents. Respond to dietary requests and concerns, fostering a positive dining experience. Menu Planning : Collaborate with clinical teams to plan menus that adhere to nutrition and dietary guidelines while accommodating individual resident needs, including special diets. Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all food service operations adhere to local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain safe food handling practices and conduct regular kitchen inspections. Inventory & Budgeting : Manage food inventory and ordering. Maintain cost control practices to meet budgetary guidelines while ensuring quality service. Health & Safety : Promote a safe, sanitary kitchen environment. Ensure proper storage and handling of food, maintaining cleanliness throughout food prep and dining areas. Quality Assurance : Collaborate with clinical teams to monitor and ensure the quality of the meals served aligns with residents' health needs and preferences.
