The Clinical Nurse Coordinator – Clinical Decision Unit at Mission Health is a Registered Nurse leadership role responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced observation and short-stay environment. This nurse leader oversees daily patient flow, including admissions, transfers, and discharges, collaborates closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute individualized care plans, and continuously evaluates patient status to support appropriate level-of-care decisions. Responsibilities include direct patient care, clinical oversight, mentoring and coaching of nurses and support staff, and active participation in quality improvement projects. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator supports staffing coordination, assists with assignment of patient loads based on acuity, and helps manage throughput to optimize bed utilization and reduce wait times.
