As a growing private equity-backed company, we are looking for talented individuals who want to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.About the RoleStone Enterprises is seeking a Manufacturing Production Scheduler to coordinate production planning, scheduling, materials, inventory, and workflow throughout our manufacturing shop.Reporting to the VP of Operations, this position plays a critical role in keeping production organized and moving efficiently. The Manufacturing Production Scheduler will maintain realistic production schedules, prioritize jobs, coordinate materials and resources, monitor production progress, and help ensure orders are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.This is a hands-on manufacturing support position for an organized, analytical, and proactive professional who enjoys solving problems, coordinating multiple priorities, and working closely with production teams and operations leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & SchedulingDevelop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, available materials, labor, equipment, and production capacity.Establish realistic production and delivery timelines for potential and actual orders.Dynamically prioritize jobs to meet production deadlines and customer commitments.Coordinate with the Shop Manager to balance labor, materials, equipment, and production priorities.Monitor production progress and proactively identify potential delays, bottlenecks, or scheduling conflicts.Communicate schedule changes and revised commitments to internal stakeholders.Maintain and continuously update production task lists, due dates, job status, and notes regarding delays or production issues.Assist in coordinating workflow to ensure jobs move efficiently through manufacturing, quality inspection, inventory, and shipping.Materials & Inventory ControlDetermine material requirements for production orders and verify inventory availability.Order materials when necessary to support production schedules.Plan production using inventory min/max levels and job ticket requirements.Pull and organize kits for shop assembly according to job orders.Stage blanks, components, and materials on job carts for manufacturing and assembly.Monitor material availability and proactively address shortages that could affect production schedules.Manufacturing & Shop SupportIssue prints, engineering drawings, and job tickets and distribute them throughout the shop.Move parts and work orders through the manufacturing process, including quality inspection.Coordinate routing of completed parts to inventory or shipping in collaboration with the Shop Manager.Monitor production issues and take prompt action to minimize downtime and delays.Close completed job tickets and work orders, including variance reporting.Work closely with production personnel, the Shop Manager, and operations leadership to keep manufacturing activities organized and on schedule.Continuous ImprovementPartner with the Shop Manager and VP of Operations to identify opportunities to reduce production costs, improve processes, and increase product quality and consistency.Identify opportunities to improve production workflow, scheduling accuracy, inventory control, and on-time delivery.Use production information and performance data to help identify bottlenecks and improve manufacturing efficiency.Continuously develop technical knowledge and stay current with manufacturing processes, equipment, and technology.Support a culture of accountability, quality, safety, and continuous improvement.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.Experience with production scheduling, production planning, inventory control, materials planning, or manufacturing coordination preferred.Ability to read and understand blueprints, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.Ability to prioritize multiple jobs, deadlines, and competing production requirements.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.Good judgment and the ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced production environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of an organization.Ability to manage timelines and proactively identify and address potential production delays.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving manufacturing environment where priorities may change throughout the day.Strong computer skills and the ability to learn ERP, MRP, manufacturing, inventory, and scheduling systems.Preferred QualificationsExperience in machining, fabrication, metalworking, assembly, or equipment manufacturing.Experience working with ERP or MRP systems.Familiarity with job travelers, work orders, routings, bills of materials (BOMs), and inventory systems.Experience with production metrics such as on-time delivery, production efficiency, throughput, and schedule adherence.Experience working with engineering drawings and manufacturing
