Senior Administrative Assistant, Global Business Platforms

AbbVie seeks a Senior Administrative Assistant to provide high-level operational and administrative support to the Vice President of Global Business Platforms and leadership team overseeing a 200+ person application development organization. The role requires managing complex executive calendars, organizing large-scale events, administering collaboration systems, and processing financial transactions within a fast-paced, matrixed global environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage VP and senior leadership calendars, resolving scheduling conflicts across matrixed stakeholder groups
• Plan and execute large-scale organizational events including town halls, offsites, and team engagement activities
• Administer SharePoint permissions, user access, and departmental file management across large employee populations
• Process financial transactions including purchase orders, invoices, and expense reports in compliance with policy
• Monitor and triage executive correspondence, draft responses, and prepare meeting materials for governance reviews

Requirements

• Advanced organizational and calendar management skills for multiple senior executives
• Experience coordinating large-scale events and logistics for 1,000+ person organizations
• Proficiency with SharePoint administration and employee onboarding systems
• Knowledge of travel booking, expense management, and procurement compliance
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professional judgment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for executive-level interactions
