Certified Pharmacy Technician II

Pharmacy Technician II Certified Retail SpecialtyThe Pharmacy Technician II Certified Retail Specialty performs specialized functions necessary to assist pharmacists in providing safe, efficient, and cost-effective services. Working under moderate supervision, this role helps to maintain the workflow, inventory, billing and other pharmacy processes.Essential Job Functions:Receives and transcribes orders, answers phones, and sells prescriptions in order to maintain the pharmacy workflow.Assists in inventory maintenance.Serves as a reference for other pharmacy technicians.Helps mentor employees through training and orientation processes.Leads and implements process improvement and departmental quality initiatives.Delivers quality customer service to every patient.Performs other duties as assigned.Education:Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.Experience:Required: 2 yearsLicensure/Certification/Listing:Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB or NHA prior to hire. Registered with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
