1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time)

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time MA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Your role: The MaineHealth Palliative Care - Damariscotta | MaineHealth Medical Assistant will be a key role in our ambulatory clinic practice, located in Damariscotta, ME. The MA is embedded into the interdisciplinary team model to care for patients and support families through complex illnesses. The MA fosters a compassionate environment, in person and through phone and MyChart communications, and is instrumental in the patient experience and operations of the clinic.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
2. License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or NREMT certification preferred. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Fully remote care team members are exempt from BLS certification requirement. A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
3. Experience: Relevant experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
