The position is for 8/24/26–3/15/27. The district educates approximately 5,300 students from Pre-K through age 22 and emphasizes diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success. Position reports to the Director, Integrated Preschool and the Director of Student Services. Location: Preschool. Work days: Full-time. Qualifications Education: Masters’ Degree Professional Certification: DESE License as a School Psychologist Specialized Knowledge: Child/adolescent development; social-emotional learning; competency in the theory, administration, and interpretation of standardized instruments; best practices in individual and small group prevention and counseling; IEP regulations; commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice as they relate to student engagement and success. Preferred Experience Experience with children in the relevant age group Experience in a diverse public school setting preferred Experience with testing, report writing, and sharing information with families Experience with individual and small group service delivery Skills Demonstrated aptitude for the work Bilingual skills (Spanish and Portuguese) highly desirable Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and focus on student success Ability to write comprehensive and informative reports with appropriate educational goals Collaborative and flexible; able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Organized and able to meet ongoing, time-sensitive deadlines Alternatives to the above qualifications may be determined by the Superintendent in conformity with state certification requirements. The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide psychological and educational evaluations in a timely manner Participate in IEP meetings to develop comprehensive educational plans Provide consultation to teachers and professionals to support student learning in the least restrictive environment Conduct classroom screening to help plan effective educational strategies Provide prevention and counseling services, individually and in small groups Provide intervention as needed and serve on the crisis response team Participate in Child Study Teams and deliver tiered interventions as needed Collaborate with the Student Services/Evaluation team to enhance services Perform other related duties as assigned Work Environment and Physical Requirements The department notes that reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
