Job Summary: 

We are seeking an exceptionally organized, communicative, and deadline-driven Director of M&A Integration to serve as a strategic right hand to our Managing Partners. In this onsite role, you will bridge the gap between high-level executive administration and technical financial oversight during intense Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) cycles. You will act as the operational anchor-managing due diligence, reviewing target company financials, mapping post-merger integrations, and executing any administrative tasks required to keep deals moving forward smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

This person owns:

• Transaction checklists.
• Coordination with attorneys and sellers.
• CCH conversion with tax team
• Workforce load with HR
• Client migration with administration and onboarding team
• Billing and banking conversion - with CFO and billing coordinator
• Partner transition obligations.
• Office and lease projects.
• 30/60/90-day plans.
• Weekly reporting to CEO's

Integration Leadership & Execution

• Oversee the day-to-day integration of newly acquired accounting firms • Serve as the primary integration lead for approximately six months during each acquisition • Ensure operational continuity, stability, and accountability throughout the onboarding process • Drive execution against integration timelines and milestones

Integration Planning & Process Development

• Build, document, and execute detailed integration roadmaps, playbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) • Establish clear expectations, workflows, and performance standards across integrated firms • Identify gaps, risks, and inefficiencies and implement corrective actions

Systems, Data & Workflow Integration

• Coordinate software, system, and data migrations in partnership with internal IT and operations teams. • Ensure successful adoption of firm-wide systems related to accounting, billing, reporting, and workflows • Validate data accuracy and system readiness post-migration

Training, Change Management & Cultural Alignment

• Lead hands-on training for acquired firm staff on systems, processes, billing, and operational workflows • Drive cultural alignment by reinforcing firm-wide discipline, expectations, and best practices • Proactively manage change resistance and support teams through transition

Stakeholder Coordination & Communication

• Act as the primary point of contact between acquired firms and internal leadership during integration • Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders • Build trust and collaboration with leadership and staff across integrated firms

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Strong hands-on project and implementation management skills
• Proven ability to build, document, and enforce processes and SOPs 
• Excellent organizational, prioritization, and follow-through capabilities
• Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to deliver effective training and influence adoption without formal authority
• High level of accountability, ownership, and attention to detail

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Operations, or related field preferred
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in M&A integration, operations, or implementation roles
• Prior experience within an accounting firm or deep understanding of accounting firm operations strongly preferred 
• Demonstrated success leading hands-on post-acquisition integrations
• Willingness to travel and temporarily relocate as required for onsite integration leadership
