Overview

Complete Quality is seeking dedicated Warehouse Clerk to provide warehouse support services under contract for our Ryder warehouse located in Lafayette, IN. This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and stock organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and experience working in fast-paced warehouse environments. Schedule:

1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) 1 candidate

2nd Shift (4:30 PM – 1:00 AM) 2 candidates

Compensation:
Approximately$18 -$18.50 Hourly (depending on shift) / Weekly pay via 1099

Duties

• Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
• Prepare orders for shipment through picking, packing, and labeling items accurately.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, reach trucks, and forklifts to load and unload goods safely.
• Maintain organized stock areas by stocking shelves and ensuring proper placement of products.
• Assist with inventory counts, stock reconciliation, and updating records in warehouse management systems like AS400 or MRP software.
• Ensure proper packaging of products for shipment to prevent damage during transit.
• Support shipping & receiving processes by coordinating with carriers and verifying shipment details.
• Use basic math skills to verify quantities, calculate weights, and ensure order accuracy.
• Perform order picking using RF scanners and order picker equipment to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
• Contribute to warehouse distribution efforts by managing stock levels and supporting order fulfillment timelines.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail (grammar and spelling)
• Microsoft Office experience
• Bilingual candidates preferred, if available
• Prior experience working in a warehouse setting or distribution center is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and inventory software such as AS400 or MRP systems.
• Ability to operate forklift, reach truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and order fulfillment processes.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stock management and documentation.
• Basic math skills for counting, weighing, and verifying shipments accurately.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and external partners.
• Ability to lift heavy items safely and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Familiarity with e-commerce logistics, packaging standards, and warehouse distribution practices is a plus.
