\n \nCivil Engineering Lead – Utility-Scale Solar & BESS
\n \nResponsibilities
\n- \n
- Lead civil due diligence reviews, including ALTA surveys, geotechnical and environmental assessments, permitting, drainage, and grading. \n
- Manage and review Engineer of Record (EOR) deliverables throughout design milestones, including 30%, 60%, 90%, and IFC. \n
- Support design automation initiatives for automated Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) designs. \n
- Support project development, constructability reviews, CAPEX estimates, and value engineering. \n
- Coordinate with EORs, EPC contractors, surveyors, geotechnical consultants, and internal engineering teams. \n
- Review RFIs, change orders, and construction-related issues throughout project execution. \n
- Support site development activities, including hydrology, drainage, roadway design, and grading. \n
- Provide technical leadership for utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects. \n
Qualifications
\n- \n
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. \n
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. \n
- 10+ years of civil engineering experience. \n
- Experience with utility-scale solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, or large infrastructure projects. \n
- Strong knowledge of site grading, drainage, stormwater management, permitting, and construction support. \n
- Experience managing external engineering firms and EPC contractors. \n
