Clinical Psychologist – Veteran Disability Evaluations

Our organization is in search of a committed Clinical Psychologist to become a part of our team, focusing on medical evaluations for U.S. Veterans as part of the disability benefits process managed by the VA. In this role, you will assess behavioral health records through a secure online portal and conduct thorough in-person evaluations for each Veteran.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform in-person disability evaluations for U.S. Veterans.
• Examine and interpret electronic medical records via a secure web portal.
• Carefully document findings from assessments and complete necessary VA forms.

Important Note: This position does not involve providing treatment or prescribing medications. The determination of disability is made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), not by the psychologist.

Position Overview:

• Schedule: Part-Time, 2 days a week (Thursday & Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
• Location: In-person role.
• Average Caseload: 4 Veterans per day.
• Equipment Provided: Computer and all necessary documentation tools.

• A compassionate psychologist with a commitment to assisting the Veteran community.
• Strong analytical abilities for reviewing medical records and assessment data.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in electronic documentation and web-based systems.
• A professional and empathetic approach when engaging with Veterans.

Qualifications:

• Possesses a Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program.
• Holds an active and unrestricted psychology license.
• Comfortable utilizing technology for record reviews and documentation.
