We are looking for an AR Accountant to join an advertising organization in El Segundo, California on a Long-term Contract basis. This role will provide essential accounting support during a leave coverage period and will help maintain steady day-to-day accounts receivable and cash activity. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in receivables, invoice processing, cash application, and general ledger support, along with the ability to learn quickly in a collaborative accounting environment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounts receivable activities, including recording incoming payments and maintaining accurate customer account balances.
• Prepare customer invoices, process billing updates, and resolve discrepancies to support timely and accurate revenue-related transactions.
• Apply cash receipts and investigate unapplied payments to ensure accounting records remain current and complete.
• Perform reconciliations for bank accounts and customer ledgers, identifying and correcting variances as needed.
• Support general ledger activity by preparing journal entries and assisting with account analysis during the contract period.
• Partner with the accounting team to maintain continuity of operations during employee leave coverage and cross-training.
• Assist with cash collection follow-up and communicate with internal stakeholders to address outstanding balances.
• Contribute to month-end close tasks by organizing supporting documentation and helping ensure financial data is properly recorded.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in accounts receivable, cash application, invoicing, and account reconciliation.
• Working knowledge of general ledger processes and accounting entries.
• Ability to perform bank reconciliations and investigate payment or billing discrepancies.
• Comfortable collaborating with a team in a fast-paced accounting environment.
• Experience with NetSuite is beneficial, though similar ERP system exposure is also valuable.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to ramp up quickly in a contract assignment.
