Join our team, experience making a difference and build your career!Ensure all your application information is up to date and in order before applying for this opportunity.Market Development Manager, Fire Protection SystemsAs the Market Development Manager for Fire Protection at Ruhrpumpen (RP), you will be responsible for growing sales and market presence for RP's fire protection pump systems and packaged solutions. You will act as the company's fire protection expert, supporting the sales force in the field and educating customers, consultants and internal teams on why a complete, listed and approved system is the right choice.This role requires deep technical knowledge of fire protection, with a clear business orientation. You will translate that knowledge into commercial opportunities, working side by side with our external and internal sales engineers.Main responsibilitiesAccompany the sales force on customer visits as the fire protection technical expertDesign and deliver webinars, courses and training sessions for customers, consultants, EPCs and RP sales teamsDeliver training that qualifies for annual continuing education hours for attendeesAnalyze market trends, competitor activity and pricing strategies in fire protectionIdentify existing and new customers, EPCs and consultants involved in the specification and procurement of fire protection systemsDevelop market entry strategies for new regions and industriesBuild and maintain strong relationships at all levels (engineering, procurement, decision-makers and buying influencers)Conduct high-level technical-commercial presentationsTransfer market intelligence and technical knowledge to RP's global sales engineering teamsEngage with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) at customer sites to support approvals and complianceEnsure alignment between technical capability and customer needsWork closely with External Sales Engineers, Internal Sales Engineers, Sales Management, Operations, Field Services and LegalJob requirementsDegree in engineering (preferred) or equivalent discipline, with strong business orientationCertification or demonstrable, extensive knowledge of NFPA, UL and FM standardsProven experience with fire protection equipment and in multiple high-engineering industries (not only commercial sales)Proven experience dealing with AHJs at project sitesTraining credentials: ability to teach and certify courses that count toward annual training hours for attendeesExcellent communication skills; able to explain complex topics simply and connect with people at any level of an organizationStrong relationship-building skillsAnalytical thinking and problem-solving skillsMS OfficeAvailability and willingness to travel and be with customers 40% to 50% of the timeAt Ruhrpumpen, we value every employee, recognizing that each person contributes to our success through their position. xhyhwjd We are a growing team, join us and live Rurhpumpen!
