As we continue to grow, we are looking to ass an Applications Sales Engineer to join our team.

Position Summary: The Applications Sales Engineer serves as a technical and commercial resource within

Tavoron's Automation Integration Group (AIG), supporting customers throughout the solution

development and sales process. This role partners closely with customers, Tavoron sales teams, and

engineering resources to understand application requirements, develop automation solutions, and deliver

value-driven proposals. The Applications Sales Engineer provides customer-facing support including

customer qualification, solution design, project scoping, proposal development, scheduling, and technical

consultation while helping drive opportunities through the sales cycle. This position plays a key role in

supporting AIG customers by delivering innovative automation solutions that improve productivity,

quality, safety, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary technical resource for Automation Integration Group (AIG) customers

throughout the sales, solution development, and project execution lifecycle.

• Partner with Tavoron sales teams and customers to understand operational challenges,

application requirements, and business objectives, translating those needs into practical

automation and integration solutions.

• Qualify opportunities, develop solution concepts, and provide technical consultation to support

customer decision-making and advance opportunities through the sales process.

• Develop and present automation solutions, including system architectures, equipment

recommendations, integration approaches, and technical proposals that align with customer

objectives and project requirements.

• Prepare project proposals, statements of work, project scopes, budgets, cost estimates,

quotations, bills of materials (BOMs), schedules, and supporting technical documentation.

• Collaborate with sales, engineering, project management, operations, and vendor partners to

develop competitive, technically sound solutions and ensure successful project execution.

• Support the technical evaluation and testing of machine vision, automation, sensing, lighting,

lensing, and robotics applications, including feasibility studies, proof-of-concept validation, and

beta testing.

• Specify and select appropriate automation technologies, including cameras, sensors, lighting,

lenses, controls, robotics, and related equipment to meet customer application requirements.

Travel Requirements: 60-70%, mostly Midwest and south-east region

Qualifications:

• Engineering degree with a minimum of 8 years machine design experience with custom

automation equipment.

• Proficiency reading, understanding and creating 2D and 3D mechanical drawings.

• Working knowledge of machine design, motion control, pneumatics, and robotics.

• Possess excellent written and verbal communication and customer relations/service skills.

• Effectively coordinate and communicate with fellow team members.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects to meet schedules/project

requirements.

• Good problem solving skills with the ability to evaluate options and implement solutions.

• Experienced using MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
