Job Summary:
The Portland, Oregon area is seeking a Pediatric Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN). This position involves providing post-operative care to pediatric patients in a stand-alone pediatric surgery department within a short-term acute care facility. The role requires flexibility to float between units as needed and offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with diverse pediatric cases.

Job Details:

• Shift: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 09/14/2026
• Required Qualifications: 1 year of experience in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), current certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and proficiency with Epic charting system.
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: Care for pediatric patients in preoperative, PACU post-operative, Phase I and II settings undergoing procedures from various surgical specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, urology, plastics, dental, endoscopy, ophthalmology, NICU, and more.
• Additional Information: Candidate must have a vehicle for the assignment. Flexibility to float within the hospital and to nearby facilities is expected. Must be available to work 3 of the 5 major holidays. References are required covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years. The position involves teamwork with respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services.
