Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of ED experience to join our dynamic team for a 13-week assignment. The role involves providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

• Unit Type: Emergency Department
• Number of Beds: 12
• Staffing:
  • Day Shift: 5-7 RNs, 1 ER Tech, 1 Unit Secretary
  • Night Shift: 5-6 RNs, 1 ER Tech, 1 Unit Secretary
• Patient Ratios: 4:1

Key Responsibilities

• Perform critical assessments and develop care plans for emergency patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care.
• Assist with various procedures, including STEMI care and stroke/tPA protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN licensure with at least 2 years of Emergency Department experience.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, ENPC or PALS, CPI, and TNCC.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Neuro and Cardiac nursing.
• Ability to thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.

Dress Code

Preferred scrub color is royal blue; however, any solid scrubs are acceptable. Competing emblems are not permitted.

• Fastest bed assignment to patient in the Gulf Coast Division.
