Responsibilities Three Trails Behavioral Hospital in the area of Independence, MO is actively hiring an Admissions and Intake Registered Nurse (RN). We are seeking a compassionate, clinically skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intake and Admissions team as a full time RN. This role is critical for comprehensive clinical assessments, facilitating appropriate level-of-care determinations, and ensuring a seamless, supportive experience for patients and their families.

The Admissions and Intake Registered Nurse (RN) will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments
• Evaluate patients for appropriate levels of care and admissions criteria.
• Coordinate and collaborate for all necessary information with physicians and other staff

Three Trails Behavioral Hospital will:

• Serve children and adolescents, adults and seniors with innovative and evidence-based inpatient behavioral healthcare focused on individual needs and comfort.
• Create more than 200 new, full-time jobs including nurses, clinicians, therapists, technicians and administrative staff, when the facility is fully operational.
• Be located at the intersection of I-70 and Little Blue Parkway, adjacent to the Children's Mercy Hospital Outpatient Clinics.
• Feature 120 licensed beds ready to meet the mental health needs of the surrounding community.
• Span more than 88,000 square feet, and will include an activity yard and gym.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri (or compact license)
• Experience in behavioral health, assessments, crisis intervention, and admissions preferred
• Experience in intake, triage, or emergency services strongly preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Be able to work three 12 hour shifts per week in the evening shift
