Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity

Responsibilities Three Trails Behavioral Hospital in the area of Independence, MO is actively hiring a patient centered Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing behavioral health team! This position provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals experiencing mental health challenges in a safe, caring, and therapeutic environment. The Registered Nurse (RN) will:

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing patient evaluations.
• Help develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor therapeutic response and side effects
• Monitor patient safety and documentation
• Educate families

Three Trails Behavioral Hospital will:

• Serve children and adolescents, adults and seniors with innovative and evidence-based inpatient behavioral health-care focused on individual needs and comfort.
• Create more than 200 new, full-time jobs including nurses, clinicians, therapists, technicians and administrative staff, when the facility is fully operational.
• Be located at the intersection of I-70 and Little Blue Parkway, adjacent to the Children's Mercy Hospital Outpatient Clinics.
• Feature 120 licensed beds ready to meet the mental health needs of the surrounding community.
• Span more than 88,000 square feet, and will include an activity yard and gym.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure for the state of Missouri
• Experience in behavioral health, assessments, crisis intervention, and admissions preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Be able to work three 12 hour shifts per week in the evening (7:00pm-7:30am)
