As the Operations Engineering Manager, you will lead the development and execution of our manufacturing processes, along with the facility's capital investments. The Operations Engineering manager will have responsibilities for leading a team of process engineers and work collaboratively with our product design team, as we bring our new vehicle to market.YOUR IMPACTResearch and formulate plans to accomplish major projects, including manpower estimates, cost estimates, and work measuring devices such as milestones or critical path charts.Monitor progress of major projects and make recommendations when needed including acquisition of capital equipmentDevelop proposals for production processesSupport cost estimate activities for both new and existing products using actuals, MOST, and simulation toolsResearch and make recommendations on make or buy productsResearch and make recommendations for the acquisition of tooling, equipment, and fixturesUnderstand current safety and OSHA requirements pertaining to assembly operations and incorporate ergonomics into safety, productivity, and performanceEstablish manpower requirements, line and sub-assembly balancing data, and expectancy time performancesLead plant layout and workstation designPlan, schedule, and prioritize work to meet established deadlinesManage and direct a team, including but not limited to manufacturing, process, and/or industrial engineers, focused on facility and process designDevelop, implement, and achieve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency standards ensuring continuously improving operationsProvide status reporting on safety, budget, staffing, volume, and performance measurements to ensure effective communication and analysisPlay an active role in long range financial forecasting, specifically around planning the resource needs of the platform teamAlways promote a healthy and high morale work environmentEngage, motivate, and inspire others through trust, creditability, and collaborationOther duties, as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial EngineeringSeven (7) or more years of experience in operations engineering or related fieldThree (3) or more years of experience in leading a team of direct reportsSTANDOUT QUALIFICATIONSHeavy industrial or automotive industry experienceDemonstrated proficiency in line balancing and capacity/resource planning in a manufacturing environmentDemonstrated proficiency in value-stream mapping, problem solving, and process improvementDemonstrated experience leading medium and large-scale operations based on lean principlesDemonstrated proficiency in lean based process design and standard visual work instruction developmentGreen Belt and/or Black Belt certification from accredited establishmentKnowledge deploying and using 3D simulation software such as FlexSim, Simul8, etc.Skilled in use of a Shop Floor Management System or MES, such as ProPlanner, Siemens, etc.#LI-MC1Pay Range:$92,600.00 - $154,400.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations.
