Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry

Location: Bronx, NY
Pay Rate: $65 - $70/hour
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 3 Days per Week | 12.5-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Telemetry unit in a high-acuity acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong telemetry monitoring skills, IV therapy experience, and the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms
• Assess and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products as ordered
• Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures
• Assist with and monitor patients undergoing conscious sedation
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility standards and regulatory requirements
• Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection control, and HIPAA regulations

Requirements

• Active New York State RN License required
• AHA BLS Certification required
• AHA ACLS Certification required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience required
• Minimum 2 years of IV insertion experience required
• Minimum 2 years of Phlebotomy experience required
• Minimum 2 years of Conscious Sedation experience required
• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and patient assessment skills
• Excellent communication and critical-thinking abilities

Preferred Skills

• Experience in acute care hospital settings
• Strong telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume environment
