QA Engineer (UFT/Playwright)

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and understand current UFT test automation scripts.
- Design and implement equivalent automated scripts in Playwright.
- Utilize AI tools (Amazon Q, GitHub Copilot) to assist in code generation, migration, and optimization.
- Collaborate closely with QA, development, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth migration.
- Maintain and update documentation throughout the migration process.
- Ensure migrated scripts meet functional and performance requirements.
- Provide regular progress updates and highlight blockers or dependencies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in test automation, specifically with UFT and Playwright.
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools (Amazon Q, GitHub Copilot, or similar).
- Experience migrating legacy automation frameworks to modern solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and rapid development cycles.
- Proficient with Git/GitHub for version control and collaboration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; skilled in documenting processes and results.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in short-term, high-impact QA migration projects.
- Experience in cloud-based QA environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
