We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of **Financial Analyst** based in **Houston, Texas**.**Essential Duties:*** Calculating and recording monthly journal entries* Preparing monthly close schedules* Ensuring monthly close deadlines are met* Reviewing financial statements and performing account reconciliations* Analyzing financial statement activity* Working closely with other departments in recording and analyzing financial data* Assisting with internal and external audit requests, as well as other special projects* Other duties, as required**Required Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related degree* 1-2 years accounting experience* Be able to complete accurate and timely work while meeting deadlines* Self-motivated and able to work independently and with others* Strong analytical and communication skills* Ability to analyze data and reach your own conclusions* Independent thinker with the ability to solve problems* Proactive learner* Takes accountability and strives to increase results* Advanced Excel skills**Desired Qualification:*** SAP experience a plus* A.l. experience a plusRecruitment Fraud It has come to our attention various individuals and/or organizations are contacting people falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of Oxy.
