Senior Software Engineer Back End

Salary: $150,000 - 180,000 per year Requirements:

• We require an active TS/SCI clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph
• We require a bachelors degree with 6-10 years of relevant experience, or a masters degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience
• We need strong proficiency in Python and backend frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask
• We need hands-on experience with containerization, especially Docker
• We need experience with ETL processes
• We need practical development experience in Linux, including bash or similar shell scripting
• We need a solid grasp of RESTful APIs and microservice architecture
• We need hands-on experience deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting Kubernetes workloads
• We need familiarity with software design patterns, security best practices, and logging/monitoring principles
• We need experience using Git and collaborative development workflows such as pull requests and code reviews
• We need experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tooling, especially GitLab or Jenkins
• We need strong verbal and written communication skills
• We need experience working in Agile environments
• We need someone who is collaborative, self-motivated, and able to work independently
• Preferred qualifications include experience building software development kits
• Preferred qualifications include familiarity with DGX (Deep GPU Xceleration)
• Preferred qualifications include an active Security+ certification and the ability to obtain a PUA certification
• Preferred qualifications include Elasticsearch certifications or other stack-related certifications

• We design, develop, test, and maintain Python microservices
• We implement Kafka message producers and consumers for real-time messaging
• We integrate Elasticsearch for batch and real-time indexing and search
• We write unit and integration tests to ensure high coverage and reliability
• We build CI/CD pipelines and deploy services into Kubernetes clusters
• We take part in design reviews, code reviews, and architecture planning
• We monitor production systems and troubleshoot issues using observability tools
• We contribute to technical documentation and share knowledge across the team
• We apply appropriate software engineering and design methods across development, integration, and production environments
• We collaborate closely with team members to deliver quality service and products to our customers
