This includes managing daily accounting activities, maintaining financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards, and assisting with audits, budgeting, and forecasting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Essential Functions:Assist in the management of the general ledger, including month-end and year-end close processesPrepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statementsEnsure accuracy and integrity of financial records in accordance with GAAP or applicable standardsAssist with the preparation of internal and external financial reportsSupport the annual audit process by providing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiriesAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisHelp maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policiesSupervise and support accounting staff in areas such as accounts payable, receivable, and payrollEnsure compliance with all tax and regulatory reporting requirementsPartner with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-makingQualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably exposure to construction, restoration, or field services industries and percentage-of-completion accountingStrong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reportingExperience with NetSuite preferredAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysisExperience working with multiple entities, business units, or geographic regions preferredProven ability to manage a high-volume workload, prioritize competing deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with operations teams and other cross-functional departments to provide financial insights and support business decisionsSelf-motivated with the ability to think independently, exercise sound business judgment, and take initiative with minimal supervisionCollaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to build strong working relationships across the organizationLeadership or supervisory experience is a plusPublic accounting experience is a plus, but not requiredWillingness to travel occasionally (approximately 1–2 trips per month, as needed)Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen in accordance with company policiesPhysical Requirements:Ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer and phoneFrequent use of hands and fingers to operate office equipment such as keyboards, mice, and printersOccasional lifting and carrying office supplies or materials weighing up to 15 poundsAbility to bend, reach, and move around the office as neededWorking Environment:Work primarily in an office environment with occasional travel as required.Be prepared for occasional overtime to meet project deadlines or address urgent matters.Salary: 100,000-115,000Benefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life InsuranceHSA and FSA optionsUnlimited PTOPaid sick time6 company-paid holidays + 1 floating holiday401k with up to 4% company matchWeekly pay and discount programs
