Restaurant General Worker

Summary: General work in all areas of the restaurant including cashiering, bussing tables, stocking supplies, general cleaning and snow removal. Serves restaurant customer by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following and other duties as assigned:

• Clean and re-set dining area and tables. This includes extensive pre-bussing of these areas.
• Maintains clean and organized work area in line with sanitation requirements.
• Shovels and removes snow from decks and all other designated areas in accordance with safety regulations.
• Move picnic tables, chairs, wine barrels, and benches to ensure snow removal and safety of employees and guest.
• Maintains restaurant needs by stocking items and product.
• Constantly checking water containers, in numerous locations, to keep them filled through service.
• Receiving deliveries, rotating stock, organizing storage areas.
• Transportation of kegs, beer bottles, wine, and any items needed in bars.
• Collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers.
• Collects recyclables and places in designated containers.
• Efficiency in vacuuming the restaurant before and after service.
• Stocks, cleans and maintains bathrooms before, during and after service.
• Cross training in minimal kitchen duties, most specifically helping in the dishwasher area.
• Setup and break down audio system.
• Preparation for weddings and events, including dance floor set up, moving tables, chairs, polishing, etc.
• Stock fire wood and maintain fire during service, if applicable.
• Maintains accuracy and security of cash drawer in accordance with management standards.
• Provides a guest experience that exceeds the guest's expectations.
• Supports TSG Ski & Golf sustainability initiatives.
• Adheres to TSG Ski & Golf policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of and adheres to Skier Responsibility Code and Colorado Skier Safety Act.

**You must be able to ski or snowboard at intermediate level or above and have your own equipment. You will have to pass an on-snow skills assessment before you will be able to work. Employment is contingent on passing this assessment.**

Education and/or Experience:

Previous restaurant experience preferred but not required. Cashiering experience preferred, but not required. Experience with catering and fine dining also helpful, but not required.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization in English.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, discounts.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Empathy and understanding if presented with a guest concern, and ability to problem solve.

Computer Skills:

Ability to perform cashiering portion of job.

Other Qualifications:

• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Employees at on-mountain venues must be able to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level, and pass company on-snow assessment.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to work effectively at altitude of 10,000 ft or above.
• Must be able to function effectively in inclement weather conditions including snow, rain, sleet, and freezing temperatures.
• The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch.

The pay rate for this position is $15.75/hr + tips
