Overview

Insight Global is seeking a Senior React Developer to support Bank of America's Developer Experience (DevEx) organization within Global Technology. The DevEx team is responsible for building and enhancing enterprise platforms, tools, and services that improve developer productivity and streamline the software development lifecycle across the bank.

This role will focus on designing, developing, and modernizing enterprise web applications used by engineering teams throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in React development and modern front-end engineering practices, while also having foundational knowledge of either .NET or Java to effectively collaborate with backend development teams and contribute across the full application stack when needed.

The successful candidate will work closely with Product Owners, Architects, UX teams, and Engineering Leaders to deliver highly scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions that improve the developer experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex enterprise web applications using React.

• Build reusable, scalable, and performant front-end components and application frameworks.

• Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Collaborate with backend engineers supporting .NET or Java-based services and APIs.

• Develop integrations with RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to front-end design standards and best practices.

• Optimize application performance, accessibility, usability, and responsiveness.

• Support application modernization efforts and adoption of modern UI development patterns.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and code reviews.

• Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support.

• Ensure applications align with enterprise security, governance, and compliance standards.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience developing applications with React.js.

• Proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end development frameworks.

• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.

• Working knowledge of either .NET/C# or Java.

• Experience developing enterprise-scale web applications.

• Strong understanding of component-based architecture and state management.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies.

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Experience with Git-based source control and modern software development practices. • Experience supporting Developer Experience (DevEx), Platform Engineering, or Internal Developer Platforms.

• Knowledge of .NET Core, ASP.NET, Spring Boot, or other backend technologies.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Experience with enterprise application modernization initiatives.

• Banking or Financial Services industry experience.

Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
