Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial roofing projects throughout the Albuquerque and New Mexico market. The role will review plans and specifications, perform material and labor takeoffs, obtain vendor and subcontractor pricing, and develop complete bid proposals. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial roofing knowledge and be able to manage multiple bids independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, drawings, and related documents to determine roofing scope and requirements.
• Perform detailed material and labor quantity takeoffs for commercial roofing projects.
• Prepare estimates and proposals for new construction, re-roofing, and service projects .
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from material suppliers and subcontractors.
• Work with Project Managers, Foremen, and Operations to validate bid strategy and constructability.
• Identify project risks and value-engineering opportunities to improve bid competitiveness.
• Maintain historical pricing, labor productivity, and vendor quote records.
• Prepare or support submittals and closeout documentation as needed.
• Ensure bids are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial roofing estimating experience or related construction estimating experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including:
• • TPO
  • PVC
  • EPDM
  • Modified Bitumen
  • Built-Up Roofing (BUR)
  • Coatings
  • Sheet Metal
• Proficiency reading construction drawings, roof plans, details, and specifications.
• Experience with estimating/takeoff software such as The EDGE, PlanSwift, or similar .
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision.
• Familiarity with New Mexico and Albuquerque-area commercial building codes and permitting processes .
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience estimating large-scale or multi-site commercial roofing projects.
• Familiarity with roofing manufacturers and specifications, including GAF, Carlisle, Firestone/Elevate, Versico, and Tremco .
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Experience with Albuquerque/New Mexico roofing projects.

Compensation

• $70,000–$90,000+ annual salary
• Company KPI-based bonus
• Exempt position

Relocation

• Relocation assistance: Yes.
• Flat-rate relocation package; amount to be determined.

• This is an office-based position, 5 days per week .
• No regular job-site travel is required.
• Candidate must be comfortable working independently in a smaller, team-oriented office environment.
• Must be able to manage multiple active bids and consistently meet deadlines.
