As an Access Control Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and provide clear, professional communication to employees, visitors, and drivers. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Thur08:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and/or contractors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Control access to the facility by verifying identification, reviewing visitor and contractor authorizations, issuing access credentials, and maintaining required entry records. Monitor access points, vehicle gates, and/or loading-area activity; report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, or policy violations according to site procedures. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, access points, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
