Commercial Construction Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of commercial building projects from pre-construction through to completion. This role will be responsible for coordinating all project activities, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to establish clear objectives and maintain effective communication throughout each stage of the project.

Key responsibilities will include developing and managing project programmes, budgets, procurement schedules, risk registers, and construction plans. You will oversee contract administration, tendering, subcontractor performance, site coordination, progress reporting, variation management, and quality control. The successful candidate will identify and resolve project issues promptly, monitor health and safety compliance, lead project meetings, and ensure all works meet relevant legislation, building codes, specifications, and contractual requirements. You will also support project forecasting, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement across construction processes.

Applicants should have proven experience managing commercial construction projects, ideally from early planning through to handover. A relevant qualification in construction management, civil engineering, building, or a related discipline is preferred, together with strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, commercial principles, and workplace health and safety requirements. Excellent organisational, negotiation, leadership, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and build productive relationships at all levels. Experience with construction scheduling, cost-control systems, document management platforms, and relevant project management software will be advantageous. You will be a proactive, practical, and accountable professional who can work independently while motivating project teams to achieve successful outcomes.
