Grants Coordinator

Face to Face Health and Counseling is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing economic and health equity for youth ages 11-24. We do this work through a comprehensive approach that includes medical, mental health, housing, education and employment, youth justice, and community programs. We take a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach to our work and center the needs of young people impacted by racism and other forms of oppression and marginalization. Founded in 1972, Face to Face serves more than 4,000 youth annually.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Grants Coordinator is responsible for all functions related to securing, managing, and monitoring foundation and government grants and contracts, including city, county, state, and federal funding opportunities. This is a full-time position at 37.5 hours a week. RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate the full grant lifecycle for foundation and government grants and contracts, including research, planning, application development, submission, award acceptance, compliance, monitoring, and reporting.
• Research and identify funding opportunities and work with staff to assess alignment with Face to Face's mission, strategic priorities, program needs, organizational capacity, and budget.
• Develop and maintain grant calendars, work plans, and timelines; communicate requirements and deadlines; and coordinate staff contributions to ensure complete and timely submissions.
• Collaborate with program, finance, data, and leadership staff to develop accurate and compelling grant applications that reflect program priorities, services, outcomes, and funding needs.
• Write grant applications using a social justice and equity lens that centers the experiences, strengths, and needs of youth.
• Review grant award notices, agreements, and contracts; identify key requirements, risks, and obligations; and provide staff with clear information to support acceptance decisions.
• Coordinate the grant acceptance process and prepare concise grant summaries outlining scope of work, deliverables, budgets, reporting requirements, compliance requirements, and key deadlines.
• Facilitate post-award implementation by ensuring program, data, and Finance staff understand grant requirements, deliverables, budget provisions, documentation expectations, and reporting responsibilities.
• Monitor grant and contract compliance throughout the award period. Identify and communicate potential compliance concerns promptly and coordinate written requests for work plan, budget, or other modifications when needed.
• Track all reporting requirements and deadlines and coordinate with responsible staff to ensure reports are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
• Coordinate with program, data, and finance staff to prepare required narrative, outcome, and financial reports that demonstrate performance and support continued funding.
• Maintain accurate, organized, and current electronic and hard-copy records for grants and contracts, including applications, agreements, correspondence, reports, modifications, and compliance documentation.
• Maintain effective and professional working relationships with staff, youth, funders, government partners, nonprofit organizations, and community stakeholders.
• Provide all services guided by the Nine Evidence-Based Principles for Helping Youth Overcome Homelessness; and
• Demonstrate flexibility and a team-oriented approach by stepping in to support priority projects and organizational needs as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Working knowledge of grant writing and reporting processes.
• Proven capacity to effectively communicate in writing.
• Exceptional organizational skills and proven capacity to manage projects.
• Ability to meet multiple competing deadlines.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly and strategically.
• Ability to work independently, exercising good judgment in involving others when necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with people of diverse ethnic, economic, racial, and cultural backgrounds. Don't meet every single requirement? LOCATION: Essential Onsite Flex - This role requires the employee to be onsite, with the possibility of some specific and limited remote hours. Employees are required to be fully on site during the initial three-month training period. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to sit for long periods of time.

PAY & BENEFITS The pay rate for this position is between $36 and $38, based on qualifications. Face to Face offers benefits which include health, dental, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, 403b account (3% employer match) as well as 23 days of PTO and 11 paid holidays. This position is part of a unionized bargaining group, represented by SEIU Healthcare MN & IA.
