Project Manager III – Customer Service Operations

Location: Louisville, KY (Hybrid – Tues/Thurs onsite)

Job Type: 2+ Year Contract

Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week | First Shift

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate + overtime eligibility

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager III to support large-scale operational initiatives within a customer service organization in a regulated utility environment. This role is responsible for leading cross-functional business projects from initiation through completion while ensuring timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations are successfully managed.

This is not an IT/software delivery role. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously, and the ability to drive projects forward with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project execution from planning through closeout
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status reporting
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including operations, supply chain, legal, communications, and business stakeholders
• Identify and proactively manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and delays
• Facilitate project meetings and provide updates to leadership and stakeholders
• Ensure deliverables align with business objectives and quality expectations
• Maintain project documentation, compliance records, and reporting metrics
• Manage vendor relationships and external partners when applicable
• Support process improvement initiatives and operational best practices
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 5+ years of project management or project coordination experience in a non-IT environment
• Strong experience managing cross-functional operational or business initiatives
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and project management tools such as MS Project or Lucidchart

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting utility, energy, or customer service organizations
• Familiarity with contract development and vendor coordination
• PMP, CAPM, or related project management certification preferred
• MBA or related advanced degree is a plus
• Experience working in highly regulated environments
