Elementary Teacher

Responsibilities Change lives through education as you motivate students to achieve academic excellence Provide direct instruction using an accelerated, back-to-basics curriculum Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs Utilize direct instruction techniques to guide our students through a variety of activities designed to promote the social, physical and intellectual growth Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and offers plans for improvement Maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community Ensure that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification Participate in training and staff meetings Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits Evaluate each student’s learning capabilities and celebrate student accomplishments Encourage students to uphold our values and model mature behavior and good character Be active in the role when light lifting, sitting, standing, moving throughout the campus and traveling to other campuses as required Participate in events outside of normal hours Other duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor’s degree The incumbent in this position will be required to pass a criminal history background check A current teaching certificate from within the state position is located #J-18808-Ljbffr
