The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Rockford that are seeking skilled Inspection Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and finished products using various measuring tools.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality data.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective actions.
• Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards to ensure product compliance.
• Conduct first article inspections and provide feedback on new product development.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years of experience in quality control or manufacturing inspection
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
• Familiarity with various inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software for reviewing designs.
• Certification in a specialized inspection method (e.g., CWI, ASNT NDT Level II).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
• Ability to train junior technicians on inspection processes.
