Supply Chain Category Manager (New Haven, CT 06511) for Sargent Manufacturing Company to collaborate extensively w/ Engg & Mfg departments to orchestrate sourcing, negotiation, & procurement of both new & established electronic & electro-mechanical components. Reqs Bachelor's deg in Engg Mgmt, Electrical Engg, Purchasing & Supply, Supply Chain Mgmt or rltd field of study, & 3 yrs of exp in any job title/occupation/position involving planning & buying of electronic components. Exp specified must incl 3 yrs of exp w/ each of the following: managing electronic commodity; MS Excel for data manipulation using formulas, functions & charts creation; analyzing large data set using Excel; quantifying & evaluating mfg processes & technologies to ensure "best cost" solutions for purchased components & new product cost parameters; negotiating Master Level Agreements; managing electronic vendor contracts; electrical circuit dsgn process, PCB (Printed Circuit Board) layout dsgn, component packaging & raw PCB suppliers; working w/ multiple levels of mgmt & cross-functional teams; NPD (New Project Dvlpmt) project mgmt & new suppliers onboarding; & ERP systm.
