Director of Finance

A growing professional services organization is seeking a hands-on Director of Finance to lead the accounting and finance function while partnering closely with executive leadership on strategy, forecasting, and operational decision-making.

This role is ideal for a Controller looking to take the next step toward a CFO-level position or an experienced finance leader who enjoys building processes, improving systems, and driving business performance in a growing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and finance operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, and cash management
• Own budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic planning
• Partner with executive leadership on growth initiatives, investments, and operational decisions
• Manage and develop the accounting team
• Ensure accurate GAAP-compliant financial statements and reporting
• Oversee payroll, treasury, tax, audit, and banking relationships
• Strengthen internal controls, policies, and financial processes
• Support ongoing ERP implementation and finance system enhancements

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Prior Controller, Director of Finance, or senior finance leadership experience
• Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and team leadership
• Experience building processes, controls, and scalable finance operations
• CPA preferred
