Community Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Community Manager to oversee the daily operations of a well-established affordable housing community in Stow, Massachusetts. This is an excellent opportunity for a property management professional who thrives in a resident-focused environment and has a strong understanding of affordable housing compliance, tax credit regulations, and property operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven background managing affordable housing communities while maintaining compliance with LIHTC and other affordable housing programs. This community offers a mix of affordable rental housing in a professionally managed setting. Responsibilities Oversee all day-to-day operations of the community, ensuring exceptional resident satisfaction and operational excellence Lead and supervise on-site staff, providing coaching, training, and performance management Manage leasing activity, resident retention, renewals, and occupancy goals Oversee rent collections, delinquency management, budgeting, and financial reporting Ensure the property remains compliant with all federal, state, and local affordable housing regulations Complete and oversee resident certifications and annual recertifications Maintain full compliance with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) requirements Prepare for and successfully manage agency audits and inspections, including NSPIRE inspections Coordinate maintenance priorities with the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of work orders and preventative maintenance Build positive relationships with residents while effectively resolving concerns and disputes Ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance documentation at all times Collaborate with regional leadership to achieve operational and financial objectives Required Qualifications Candidates MUST have direct Affordable Housing experience This includes hands-on experience with: Annual and interim recertifications NSPIRE inspections and compliance Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) compliance Affordable housing regulations and reporting HUD and/or state affordable housing programs 3+ years of Community Manager or Property Manager experience Experience managing affordable multifamily communities Strong knowledge of Fair Housing regulations Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and rent collections Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, OneSite, RealPage, or similar is preferred) Preferred Qualifications COS, TCS, HCCP, or other affordable housing certification Experience preparing communities for compliance audits and regulatory inspections Previous experience leading on-site teams Paid Time Off 401(k) with company match Career growth opportunities with an established ownership group Only candidates with direct Affordable Housing experience, including recertifications, NSPIRE, and LIHTC/Tax Credit compliance, will be considered. #J-18808-Ljbffr
